The syllabus of Fine Arts contains four papers—Painting, Sculpture, Graphics and Commercial Art for senior secondary classes (XI and XII). All these papers have the contents as Theory and Practical. The theoretical contents have a weightage of 30 marks and the practical contents have a weightage of 70 marks. The practical contents have been widely described by CBSE. Not only the students of senior secondary classes, but the teachers also feel some difficulties to explain or illustrate the contents as CBSE has mentioned in its syllabus.
This Practical manual for Fine Arts is a practice book for the students of XI and XII classes, who have chosen Fine Arts as a subject. The efforts from our hands are not only to explain the contents but its illustration is taken as a challenge. We have tried our best to explain all the contents given in the fine arts syllabus step by step with suitable examples. And we hope, this manual will be appreciated by both teachers and students
